Our Story

Kane and Jamie met when they both joined the Police at the same time.

It was fate that out of all the different probabilities, that Kane and Jamie would be assigned to the same Borough, as well as the same University, and be in the same class. They were destined to meet!

After many night outs getting closer and closer, (and a lot of flirting) it was actually negativity and homophobia directed towards Jamie that triggered the first proper kiss...

and boy... THERE WERE FIREWORKS!!

Of course after the best moment of their lives, there had to be a week off.

A week apart.

A week to ponder what it all meant.

Kane at the time was 'Straight', but the kiss felt so real, so heartfelt. It felt natural. Therefore there was a lot of confusion for both of them, After the week off, there were a lot of discussions over the kiss, and eventually a long car ride where Kane finally admitted he had feelings for Jamie.

Kane and Jamie then began to date each other, trying to spend as much time together as possible while also managing full time work and coursework for their pathways into the Police.

Every moment was special and were savoured by both of them.

Kane was the one to ask Jamie to be his boyfriend, while they both attended the cinema to watch a film.

Some may say it was cliché, however they would both argue that it doesn't matter how its done, it is still as special.

It was that time in their relationship when they knew they loved each other but was scared to say it in case the other feels different.

Unlike the all important question beforehand, Jamie was the first to say I Love You, while we were laying in bed, snuggled up watching a film on the laptop, and Kane said it straight back to him afterwards, sharing the moment of pure love between the two.

They both would not change that moment for anything else, as movies in bed became something that Kane and Jamie would share together quite a lot. This would turn into many movie nights on the sofa together after they moved into Kane's flat, cuddled up with the dog and a glass of wine and whiskey!

After Kane and Jamie moved in together... they started their own little family with a little but loud French Bulldog: Rex.

They grew closer and closer and fell in love with each other more and more.

Jamie came to realise he could never live without Kane, and decided that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Kane... so he would propose.

It was perfect timing that they were going away to Guernsey soon, and Jamie knew that the sunset on the beaches is to die for. He had the place, the time, all he needed was the ring, which he chose a beautiful one - a mix of Gold, silver and diamonds, just as beautiful as the person it was soon to be placed on.

It was then the final night at Guernsey after a lovely week away, and they were both at the beach watching the sun set one last time over the horizon. Jamie took Kane onto the grass edge of the cliff, and began to tell him how amazing he is, and how he could not live without him. Jamie then got onto one knee and asked Kane to be his, Forever.

Kane said yes (obviously), and the rest is History!!!
